BackUP

Hello, I have been using a pretty simple backup command to backup my
database. I have been then going to the file that was created and changing
the name of the file by adding a "date" to the name.
Is there an easier way to do this?
I see the backup command has a "RETAINDAYS" option, but if I am backing us
on a daily basis won't I just get an error when I attempt to backup the
file again (same name) and they system telling the file has not expired?
I was hoping there was a way for me to indicate that I want to keep the
file 10 deep and it would somehow manage those files each time I requested
a backup.
So is there an easier way?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!!!!!!Have you looked at Database Maintenance Plans? They allow everything you
are asking for, in a wizard setup format.
